The main focus is on automation for injection molding and assembly systems, handling technology and automation of non-rigid parts. As experienced robot integrator, Abele Ingenieure GmbH offers gripper solutions that are robust and high-performance, delivering the ultimate in process stability and reproducibility. The company increases the customers level of automation whether it is a special solution or a tailor-made module: the productions advances with ideas ahead of the time.
Role in the project
Abele Ingenieure GmbH will develop gripper parts for the existing gripper at Profactor to enable the handling of natural fibre fabrics. Probably needle grippers will be used, but this will be evaluated as soon as the natural fibre fabrics have been defined. The gripper will consist of up to 24 gripping units that will grasp the material and that can be individually adjusted to adapt to the local shape of the mould. All gripping units can be put in arbitrary locations on the gripper (not necessarily all of them need to be used). The maximum size of the gripped material will be in the range of 1m, which covers the range up to medium size parts.
